Louis Vuitton Artycapucines is a limited Collection that incorporates the artwork of six international artists into their classic Capucines collection. Launched on 1 Nov 2020, these limited edition artistic bags are available in 200 pieces each at selected stores around the globe.

Beatriz Milhazes Artycapucines LV — Beatriz Milhazes’ limited edition ARTYCAPUCINES enhances the Capucines PM in white lambskin through remarkable marquetry work, both on the body of the bag with 18 differently textured and colored leathers enriched by precious touches of gold leaf, and on the LV signature with the unique combination of enamel and gel.

Beatriz Milhazes Artycapucines LV — Brazilian artist Beatriz Milhazes created a bag that takes after her vibrant and hypnotic paintings inspired by the popular art of her native country.

Zhao Zhao Artycapucines LV — Zhao Zhao’s limited edition ARTYCAPUCINES is a sophisticated puzzle of 353 laser-cut leather parts assembled and sewn together to form each bag. This Capucines PM bag is made of calfskin and cowhide leathers enriched by numerous transformation techniques: silkscreen printing, high-frequency embossing, 3D embroidery, combined differently on each individual part to create this exceptional patchwork.

Zhao Zhao Artycapucines LV — Chinese artist Zhao Zhao’s Artycapucines is a sophisticated puzzle of over three hundred laser-cut parts sewn together into an elegant, reflective composition.

Henry Taylor Artycapucines LV — Henry Taylor’s limited edition ARTYCAPUCINES is a striking 3D-printed reproduction of his painting titled A Young Master, inserted onto the bag using precise and demanding marquetry techniques. This impactful Capucines PM made of printed Taurillon leather is a composition of 40 different colors and expresses unrivaled intensity.

Henry Taylor Artycapucines LV — Californian artist Henry Taylor’s Artycapucines transposes ‘A Young Master’, a striking portrait of his close friend Noah Davis, the late American painter and installation artist, using both cutting-edge laser printing and traditional marquetry techniques.

Josh Smith Othoniel Artycapucines LV — Josh Smith’s limited edition ARTYCAPUCINES recreates two of his expressionistic paintings on a leather-free Capucines PM: his own name on the body of the bag and palm trees on the inside. Both the linen-cotton canvas and the silk lining are enriched with high-definition printing, embroidery of over 380000 stitches, and exceptional woodwork on pear tree details.

Josh Smith Othoniel Artycapucines LV — New York-based artist Josh Smith’s vibrant Artycapucines design recreates two of his well-known expressionistic paintings.

Liu Wei Artycapucines LV — Liu Wei’s limited edition ARTYCAPUCINES is a sculpture of petals, 4 in silver leather and 1 metallic, each one thermo-moulded to give it its specific shape and then fastened with spherical screws and Louis Vuitton engraved rivets which echo the trunk-making heritage. The Plexiglas handle on this Capucines PM further translates the artist’s architectural inspiration.

Liu Wei Artycapucines LV — The Artycapucines from Liu Wei is focused on his interest in geometric architectural forms, such as those found in his large-scale installation ‘Microworld’ at the 2019 Venice Biennale.

Jean Michel Othoniel Artycapucines LV — Jean-Michel Othoniel’s limited edition ARTYCAPUCINES is made of traditional braided raffia, balanced by luxurious black raffia fringes and adorned with statement colored resin pearls on the handle and charm for added shine. This Capucines PM is envisioned as the day-to-evening couture interpretation of a summer basket.
