The Samsung A52s 5G is released in India on 1 Sep 2021, but it is not available in the US or Singapore yet.
Based on the updated specifications from Samsung (India), the following are the final key differences when compared to the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G from Singapore. India appears to have Galaxy A52 4G, which has lower specs than the 5G version.

The Samsung A52s 5G has a more powerful processor and GPU, and the Wi-Fi appears to be upgraded to Wi-Fi-6(ax) with additional speeds, which is 25% faster via 1024-QAM. SISO is single input single output, and HE80 is 80 MHz 802.11ax (5 GHz).
The GPS on the A52s also added support for QZSS, which is also known as Michibiki (みちびき), a four-satellite regional time transfer system and a satellite-based augmentation system developed by the Japanese government to enhance the United States-operated Global Positioning System (GPS) in the Asia-Oceania regions, with a focus on Japan.
That is about the difference between the Samsung Galaxy A52s and A52 5G phones.
Reasons to Buy Samsung A52s 5G[tie_index]Reasons to Buy Samsung A52s 5G[/tie_index]
We have added one more reason to buy the A52s, but the USB-C and optical fingerprint sensor remain a major drawback.

For an optical fingerprint sensor to work reliability, it requires your finger and screen to be clean. Any dirt that blocks the optical imaging such as smudge or dirty fingers may cause the sensor to fail. This is unlike the Ultra-sound fingerprint sensor on the higher-end Galaxy S20 that is more reliable and is not affected by light transmission.
USB-C 2.0 is already a dinosaur, especially when you pair it with a 256GB phone, the data transfer using USB cable will be very slow.
So the above are the two major drawbacks and perhaps reasons to buy the Galaxy S series instead.
Below is the full table of comparisons between the two phones. One of the data obtained from gsmarena is that there is a slight difference in the screen-to-body ratio and the PPI resolution. The difference is very slight and should not be noticeable.

— Below is an archive of the previously leaked news —
There are websites leaking news that Samsung plans to release a modified version and it will be the A52s. The following summarizes the rumors and speculations on the design specifications so far.
Why is it important to identify the difference between A52 and A52s? The reason is that know the design differences will enable users to make a decision, whether to buy A52 now or to wait later.
According to GalaxyClub:
While the Galaxy A52 is currently sold under model number SM-A525F (4G) and SM-A526B (5G), the new variant is in the work and under model SM-A528B. This version may be renamed to ‘A52s’. It is not a definite guarantee that it will appear in all of these countries – but the chance is very high.
This means that the question of what makes this new Galaxy A52 so different has not yet been answered. In the past, Samsung often released slightly modified versions of popular mid-range devices. For example, the Galaxy A50 was joined by the Galaxy A50s, which received a slightly better camera. Whether the SM-A528B should also get a slightly better camera is not yet known.
It is very likely the only difference will be in the chipset. The current shortages in the global chip market have already forced Samsung to postpone the release of the Galaxy S21 FE. The ‘Galaxy A52s’ may therefore be primarily a device version with a processor that Samsung can purchase/produce more reliably than the Snapdragon 720G and 750G in the current Galaxy A52 4G and 5G models.
- A52 Current Chipset: Snapdragon 750G 5G (8nm) Octa-core (2×2.2 GHz Kryo 570 & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 570)
- A52s Rumoured Chipset: Snapdragon 778G 5G (6 nm) Octa-core (1×2.4 GHz Kryo 670 Prime & 3×2.2 GHz Kryo 670 Gold & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo 670 Silver)
- The GPU is also upgraded from Adreno 619(current) to Adreno 642L(rumored).
The upgrade should benefit users who play games on their smartphones.
When?
It is not clear when Samsung will present the new Galaxy A52 version. On August 11, the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is first on the agenda. The A52s may make their debut alongside the delayed S21 FE at the end of October.

As we know at this time there are also rumors that the Samsung S21 has not been selling as well as the previous S series. The likely reason could be due to the high price and the lockdown caused by the Covid-19 Pandemic.
