Logitech Zone True Wireless Earbuds

This article is an early Logitech zone true wireless earbuds review, which is the first wireless earbuds from Logitech, and it comes with the highest IP68 rating. Currently, only the JBL Reflect Flow Pro has a similar IP68 rating.

Logitech has scheduled the earbud for release anytime in autumn between the end of October onwards till the end of the year.

  • Earbuds
    • The size of the earbuds is huge:
      • Height: 25.2 mm / 0.99 in
        Width: 16.5 mm / 0.65 in
        Depth: 9.5 mm / 0.37 in
    • Weighs 13g as a pair (6.5 grams each): The weight is surprisingly light, considering the size is big.
    • Comes with 3 ear gels of different sizes for a better fit.
      • The ear gel is integrated with the ear wings, which seem to have a subtle difference in their sizing.

  • Omni-directional MEMS mics array with beamforming plus an inward-facing mic.
  • Active noise calling (ANC)
  • IP68 rated is close to the highest specification attainable. It is fully protected from dust ingress and long-term immersion up to specified pressure.
  • Battery life is on par with current high-end earbuds
    • Earbud battery life (talk time): 6 hrs (ANC on), 6.5 Hrs (ANC off)
    • Earbud battery life (listening time): 9 Hrs (ANC on), 12 hrs (ANC off)
      • Note that the marketing page’s battery life differs from the product specification page. The 9 hours ANC is based on the specification page.
  • The wireless range is 30m.

  • The charging case is well designed
    • Qi wireless charging enabled
    • IP54 rated for protection from limited dust ingress and water splash.
    • A full charged case can charge earbuds 2.5 times.
    • 2 Hrs 45 mins to fully recharge earbuds
    • 3 hrs to fully recharge the case
    • 5 mins quick charge provides 2 hrs of music time or 1 hr 20 mins of talk time
    • Comes with a 24cm USB-A to C cable

If you are planning to buy new earbuds, waiting for the Logitech official release after the end of September this year may be worthwhile. Based on the specifications above, the Logitech ZTW earbuds should be better. However, we recommend everyone to test earbuds and earphones for themselves before buying.
