Jabra Elite 7 Active is the sports earbuds that replaced the Jabra Elite Active 75t. It is a small earbud without visible buttons and designed with sports features, such as IP57 rating, wind noise protection, and Jabra ShakeGrip™ to keep the earbuds firmly in place.
Jabra Elite 5 has an IP55 rating that is useful for outdoor sports but lacks the “sports” features found on the Jabra Elite 7 Active. However, it has a hybrid ANC with a feedforward and feedback microphone that is superior to that on the Jabra Elite 7 Active. Jabra Elite 5 also comes with Qualcomm® aptX™ audio codec support, which is not present on the Jabra Elite 7 Active.

Which One To Buy?
The choice depends on your usage.
Jabra Elite 7 Active is better for use during outdoor activities where you need to talk clearly with wind noise protection, and also the ShakeGrip feature helps to prevent accidental drops. The Jabra Elite 7 Active does have a decent ANC but is not as good as the Jabra Elite 5 when it comes to low-frequency sound.
Jabra Elite 5 has a hybrid ANC so that you can hear clearly, e.g. the music or the other person’s voice clearly by cutting away the external noise. Hybrid ANC uses both feedback and feedforward microphones to reduce the surrounding sound.
