The Blocc Face Shield is designed to provide a barrier that prevents your hands from touching your face – eyes, nose and mouth – which could spread the Covid-19 virus. It is only a shield, as the edges are not sealed like the face mask such as the SEEU95, which has filters to sieve the air that is breathed in through the sides.
This face shield looks like an extension of the clear safety google that are commonly available. While it may provide a more natural look during social interactions, it may also give a false impression that there is adequate protection – which is not the case. The Blocc Face Shield is not designed for heathcare or lab settings as stated in their Indiegogo list.
One good use for such goggle + face shield design is for sports such as running and cycling where face masks is not suitable as they are difficult to breath.
Based on the above photos, the Blocc Face Shield may be useful for cycling, but there is no mentioning that the design is stable during running.
